Mission and Student Achievement

Summary of Institutional Mission and Student Achievement

  • Memoria College exists to provide students with a broad and meaningful encounter with the Great Books and Culture of Western civilization through affordable, accessible higher education.
  • Memoria College measures student achievement through its MA program graduation rate by cohort. We aim to have 100% of student graduate from their cohort within 9 years, which is 150% of the expected completion time as listed in the catalog (i.e. 6 years). Since the MA program began in 2020, it has no graduation rate to report at this time.
  • “Exclusions” from a cohort include those students who have withdrawn from the program due to external factors such as medical issues, family caretaking responsibilities, and military service.
  • “Withdrawals” from a cohort include those students who have withdrawn from the program for unknown reasons and students who have been administratively withdrawn by the college.
